The trial of John Earls: manuscript, circa 1941.

Concerns the proceedings of murder trials in Lycoming County, including that of John Earls. Earls was the first person to be sentenced to hanging in Lycoming County, for the murder of his wife, Catherine Earls, by arsenic, at their home near Muncy Dam. The document also contains his confession made on May 21, 1835, a few days before he was hung.
